• Is Jaagriti registered in India?

Jaagriti is registered in India as a society under the Societies Registration Act of 1860 and has all India status.

 

• Does Jaagriti receive Government funding?

As a Non-Government Organization (NGO), Jaagriti does not receive any Government funding allowing us to remain independent, making unbiased evaluations of government policies and programs.

 

• How does Jaagriti raise funds?

Jaagriti raises funds through following main sources:

   a) Individual Donations

   b) Corporate Donations

   c) Sale of Jaagriti Merchandise

More information about the above sources is available on the Donate page. We also receive donations in kind ranging from stationary, furniture, books to food items and old working computers.

 

• Where is your office located?

Jaagriti does not have any office allowing us to keep negligible administrative and infrastructure costs. We function from our project centers in Dwarka and use Internet and various social networking tools to connect to our well-wishers and conduct our regular meetings.

 

• Does Jaagriti have any full time employees?

Apart from the teachers teaching at our education projects, Jaagriti does not have any full time volunteers. We are primarily a volunteer driven organization and believe in motivating the youth of the country to work for development of the society. We have over 15 active volunteers working with us. 

 

• What are the administrative costs at Jaagriti?

Our administrative costs include:

   a) Printing Jaagriti greeting cards, brochures, receipt/voucher booklets, posters etc.

   b) Financial management expenses related to accounting, annual filing of tax returns etc.

   c) Communication expenses (couriers)

 

• How do you reach out to donors to raise funds?

We use our network of volunteers, ambassadors and friends to reach out to various donors, who come from all walks of life and across the globe.

 

• Will I receive any utilization report of the funds I donate to Jaagriti?

We believe in the values of trust, transparency and accountability. Whenever you donate to Jaagriti, you can choose to receive a Fund Utilization Report of your funds on a quarterly/half-yearly/annual basis. Apart from that, at the end of each financial year we publish a detailed Financial Report of the incoming and outgoing funds at Jaagriti.
